ShieldPortal is an online compliance dashboard for the cannabis industry that allows banks the peace of mind to open bank accounts for marijuana-related businesses. ShieldPortal integrates with the marijuana business’ accounting books, point of sale transactions, and state regulatory inventory systems to display a clear picture of the store’s inventory and cashflow through the online dashboard. The dashboard allows the bank, store, and Shield Compliance officers to see data discrepancies, determine risk, employ adequate anti-money laundering procedures, and ensure overall compliance with state and muncipal laws.
All customer and patient data is safely secured through tokenization and encryption. And dispensary owners, bank compliance analysts and shield officers can communicate issues and concerns through the case file system in the dashboard, streamlining the compliance process.
One of the biggest hurdles for marijuana businesses is banking. Without it, payroll gets difficult, expenses become non-deductible, and tax penalties incur.
